Chapter 214 - Get Each Other's Advice

Few days passed...

Bryana is getting tired of waiting for Dean without certainty. She even started to lose her spirits again, even the entertainment from Monica, Lily, or the kids couldn't bring her back to life. today, the pregnant woman looked pale, her health began to deteriorate, ate only a few mouthfuls, and finally vomited.

"Bryana. We should go to the doctor," Monica exclaimed, staring blankly at Bryana who was leaning back on the bed.

"What for?" Briana whispered.

"I see from the calendar, it's time for your monthly check-up," Monica explained. She walked over to Bryana, then sat down beside her, glancing at her with pity. "Soon, dad and Raymond will be here, and all your troubles with Dean will be over."

"What if dad can't find Dean? What if Dean doesn't want to accept an explanation or an apology, what if he's already comfortable with his new life which I don't know what it's like, and he's forgotten his love for me?" Bryana asked with all the annoyance in her heart. She began to feel hate but longing. "He left forgetting his sweet promises...."

Monica sighed, understanding what Bryana was feeling must be a mixture of pain, longing, disappointment, and hate. She didn't expect that Dean who had a gentle and caring demeanor could just leave even if Sofia was here he still didn't come back.

"Bryana... I know this is hard for you, but remember that you are a mother. Don't just because your husband is a coward, you don't ignore the health of your future child," Monica persuaded while touching Bryana's feet.

"I don't know ...." Bryana sighed, brought her head back as she rubbed her belly which felt stiff.

"We'd better go to the doctor, do the usual check-ups, ultrasound ... at least when Dean comes back, he already knows the gender of the child," Monica persuaded patiently.

"But after this, I want to eat out. I'll go crazy if I stay at home!" Bryana exclaimed after thinking that being at home was only making her miss Dean all the time. She felt the need for entertainment.

"Okay. We'll just hang out at your favorite cafe," Monica said with a smile.

"Cafe Alexandria you mean?" Bryana shook her head and remembered that the cafe had always been her favorite place with Dean. "Let's just go to another cafe!"

"Okay, it's up to you. The most important thing is that we check first!" cried Monica.

Bryana nodded even though she was a bit lazy to leave the house because her body felt heavy, but she felt that she would be more stressed because at home she would only miss Dean. 𝓯𝓇𝘦𝘦𝑤ℯ𝓫𝑛𝓸𝑣𝓮𝓁.𝒸𝘰𝓶

Elsewhere, to be precise, at the East Jakarta Regional Hospital. Dean is getting ready to go home because he's feeling better. He did not expect, just because of a match when his condition was not too stable, it ended up causing his pain to get worse, and had to be treated for several days. During that time, only Niko and Mike took care of him, but sometimes some of his fellow athletes who knew him also visited him.

"Are you going back to your house or... to my rent?" Mike asked, looking at Dean who was sitting on the edge of the hospital bed. he was packing the clothes he had brought with him during his stay at the hospital to look after Dean.

"To your rent," Dean answered blankly.

"Why? Didn't you promise to come back home after recovering?" asked Niko as he sat down next to Dean.

"I'm not ready yet. I... I can't live in that house. The house was a gift from her father, all his father's possessions and if I enjoyed it, I feel like I will continue to feel guilty for the late Clarissa," Dean explained sadly.

"Don't you miss your beautiful wife?" asked Mike.

"I miss her so much, I even remember, today he had to go to the hospital for a monthly check-up," Dean replied.

Niko sighed, glanced at Dean who was still haunted by the past, while someone had to come forward to think about the future. "Dean, I know what you're feeling is hard. But, think about your future. Think of your children and don't let your wifeho loves you so much, be disappointed to ask to separate from you. I'm sure you'll regret it for the rest of your life!"

"I know I thought too. I just wasn't ready to come back today. There's a feeling... I don't deserve to be happy with her after what happened to my painful past because of her father." Dean continues to be stuck in doubt memories of the past where the bloody events occurred at Gustave's to end with the birth of Sofia which took place dramatically, made him very traumatized.

Mike got up and walked over to Dean, then sat on his left while Niko sat on his right. "I have a solution for you."

"What is that?" asked Dean.

Mike sighed, then said, "You've got a name for the newest kick-boxing athlete who stands a great chance for bigger-paying matches than yesterday."

"Then?" Dean looked clueless.

"You can invite your wife to live in peace with the kids and away from hostility, not to enjoy the wealth of your in-laws which you hate. With your new profession as an athlete, you will not lack to protect them," explained Mike, who this time was not selfish.

"Ah, but I don't think that's right. Since a family relationship must be peaceful, you should forgive your in-laws, understand what happened in the past, ask for an explanation as to why he carried out the attack. if the family is at peace, there will be peace forever, there is no hatred and awkwardness. It will be very happy for your wife too," said Niko, who prioritized family togetherness.

"I'll think about it..thank you for giving advice and taking care of me all this time, you guys are like brothers to me," said Dean with a warm smile even though his heart was weighing between Mike and Niko's suggestions.

"Come on, let's go back. I'm sure my wife is waiting for me at her parents' house to ask me to pick me up," Mike exclaimed as he got out of bed. He had managed to marry his girlfriend when Dean was sick because he didn't want to let his girlfriend was pregnant without a husband for long.

Dean smiled at Mike who was in charge even though his attitude was a bit naughty. "You newlyweds!"

"It feels so good. My life is more colorful," Mike said with a happy hue on his face. "I can make love to her without hiding anymore, isn't that fun?"

"You perverted brain!" Niko exclaimed as he got out of bed, then put on a backpack containing clothes, while Mike also wore a backpack that also contained other clothes.

Dean immediately got out of bed and walked out of the infirmary with his two new friends. They walked down the hospital corridor, which had a yellowish-white nuance and was not too grand because it was a small hospital.

"Dean," Mike called, continuing to follow Dean's steps.

"Why?" asked Dean.

"After you get married, you will honeymoon abroad because your wife is rich. Isn't that right?" Mike guessed.

dean just smiled and remembered the time he took a private jet to Australia with Bryana.

"We're going to Australia."

"Wow, that must have been a lot of fun," Mike mumbled wildly. while Niko had already walked ahead towards the administration.

"We only had a short time because the situation at home was a bit chaotic. My wife's son at home was threatened with being taken by his biological father and causing a riot," said Dean, remembering his family's inconvenience during this time, making him sick and wanting to live in peace.. 'If I asked Jill to live in simplicity, would she be willing?' he thought.
