Chapter 79: Raid~1!

One of the latter phase-character of the novel, who happens to be the long-lost sister of the protagonist was currently in front of Seth, teamed with the group of adventurers.

In the novel, she suffered from a tragedy and had to kill someone important to the town. Since she knew her father wouldn’t be able to save her from execution, Caroline had no option left rather than to become a rogue and leave her family behind.

She knew until she doesn’t associate herself with her family any more, her precious brothers and her parents won’t be subjected to any kind of discomfort.

Since then she traveled from place to place in search of shelter and food and while she was at it she grew up to become a great warrior with her Tier 3 skill [Shadow Sovereign].

She has been polished through time and circumstances she has to go through in order to keep on surviving. In the meantime, she came to unlock various features of her skills, but Seth knew she has yet to entirely master everything yet.

In the plot, she dies so Seth has no idea how far she can go but now when she was in front of him…

-------------------------------------------------

“So you are the new recruits?”

The brown-haired young man from the group gathered others' attention as Seth and Lara approached the two. By looks, the boy seemed to be the leader. With his extrovert aura and the sword hanging on his waist, Seth knew this man would be hard to deal with.

In response, Seth only nodded and introduced themselves.

“My name is Sean and she is Sara.”

Hearing the brief description the team of five reacted varyingly, but the swordsman came to save the day.

“It’s nice to meet you, Sean and Sara. I will be the raid leader, Erwin. This is our team tank, Luther. She is Bethany the healer. The spiky is Ron, front assault just like me. And that is Carla, our team assassin.”

Seth nodded politely in everyone’s direction as his eyes lingered on the last members for a long moment. Fortunately, no one noticed his particular interest in the girl as Seth responded with their classes as well.

“Sara can do work as an assassin as well. And I am a newbie strategist.”

It was natural for Seth to announce their specialties when they were going to raid together. For the first time, he was acting naturally as he was but not some arrogant noble, which made Seth let loose even it was for a short period.

The conversation continued for some more minutes as they conversed mainly about the dungeon they would be challenging as they got out of the guild.

Throughout the talk, Caroline and Lara stayed silent despite the other team members trying to strike up some conversation with the beautiful brunette. She was silently ignoring their words as she continued following Seth like a deaf doll.

Seth knew once she opens her mouth she would start arranging their mannerism or how they should be treating her young master, so it was okay if she stayed silent.

The other party members soon gave up since they were used to this kind of treatment from the other assassin of the group. For them, it seemed assassin class just makes a person naturally cold and indifferent.

“This is the place huh…”

After a short ten minutes what appeared to big globe of glass was the low-ranking dungeon that Seth’s party leader chose for their venture. From what the guild master told the brown-haired young man, Erwin was assigned to train these two new members about the field.

Erwin primarily thought he would be handling some amateur kids who for the first had the opportunity to hold weapons or something along those lines. But after seeing Sean and Sara his perception changed. These two…were anything but inexperienced fools he have seen in the past.

“Yeah. You guys wait here. I will pay the entry fees and get done with the formalities.”

To enter a dungeon one has to submit the allowance from the central guild and also pay a small payment as for the maintenance cost. Erwin didn’t ask anything from the party which signified that the entry fee was nothing to worry for.

However, Seth's attention was solely gathered on the huge dome in front. In the novel, he only had read about it since Arata often ventured in dungeons in order to gain real-life experience. Sometimes illegally alone and sometimes with his party consisting of his heroines.

But nothing could be compared to what Seth was witnessing right in front of his eyes at the moment.

Each dungeon has its own significance and type since it’s the hunters who lure the monsters inside. Categorizing the dungeons and assigning each one of them to appropriate adventurers become easy and convenient.

The one Seth and the others halted was a three-floor dungeon that mainly dealt with Goblins, Orcs, and the final floor for Ogre. Each floor has one boss and core inside of them which raiders can collect and sell at a decent price.

But Seth was here to have some thrill and see how far he can go with his skills.

‘I hope I can satisfy their suspicion…’

---------------------------------------------------

In a humungous training ground could be seen numerous training dummies lying on the ground after being bisected cleaning in a smooth slash.

Amidst such chaos could be seen a single girl in his teens standing with her hand clutching the handle of the long sword as she huffed to regain her stamina and go for another assault.

This girl was none other than the Secretary of the student council president, Ciel Longford who unlike most of the students of her age, trains diligently even during vacation.

Suddenly Ciel’s pupil shrank to a needle as she sensed a presence appearing just on her back. Without putting much thought she slashed her blade to punish the intruder who dared to breach her restricted space.

*Ting*

What made the edge of Ciel’s blade was just an index finger of a man whom Ciel knew very well as her eyes widened in an instant.

“I am impressed.”

Ciel sheathed her sword before she planted her left knee on the ground and with her head leaning down, she greeted the man in front.

“I am honored by your words…father.”
